Kudos to Sandy Barry of the Foy Insurance – Pembroke Office for her community work with Girls Inc, a non-profit organization “inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold”. Sandy is on the Selection Panel to choose a qualified scholarship recipient for New Hampshire’s GIRL OF THE YEAR. Thank you, Sandy, for your commitment to this fantastic cause.
Michelle Ackroyd (left) from our Salem NH office spent her Community Service Day supporting her local Lion’s Club chapter doing vision screening at a local school. They did over 200 screenings on that one day! The Lions Club’s main focus is on Vision and Hearing offering free eye exams, glasses and hearing aids to those less fortunate. Throughout the year they have many community projects, fundraising events and programs that support health, education, Veterans and others in their local communities.
A former Convent that has stood vacant since 2004 is now being renovated and restored and will ultimately provide homes for ten families. 100 Parker St Lawrence MA is Habitat for Humanity’s (Merrimack Valley) most exciting and ambitious project to date. When finished this landmark structure is poised to transform its neighborhood.
Several Foy employees recently helped out with this project. We teamed up with our partner Axial Financial who has “adopted” one of ten units being renovated. Axial is responsible for raising some of the money and all of the volunteer labor needed to complete the unit. While there our employees worked on hanging drywall, installing flooring, and sanding window trim. The unit is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by July 1st.
When completed in 2015, more than 100,000 volunteer hours will have been spent in effecting the buildings transformation. Foy Insurance offers their full time employees one paid day off per year for Community Service. Per the employees working there it was a day well spent!
We love to get testimonials from our clients! We know how hard our employees work so it's exciting and rewarding to hear well deserved praise from a client.
Testimonial: To Dan and everyone at Foy Insurance (Dover NH)
I know I've told you before how much I appreciate the great customer service that you all give. Not only is it "great" service - but the response is wonderful.
I think I told you in the past that it's "faster than a speeding bullet". But I have to change that - it's almost faster than the speed of light.
I was in a real time crunch for this info and was hoping to get it sometime before the weekend. Instead - the info was back to me from you in less than an hour.
You should teach a "Customer Service Seminar" - a multitude of businesses would certainly benefit from both your example and your advice.
Thanks so much
Some people like to start their Thanksgiving Holiday weekend early and Michelle from our Salem office was no exception however she spent her day preparing Thanksgiving meals. Michelle and fellow patrons from the First Congregational Church of Salem spent Wednesday 11/26 working towards preparing food for those, due to life circumstances, would otherwise have spent Thanksgiving alone. The Church fed over 60 individuals on Thanksgiving Day. Great job Michelle!
Crystal Moretti from our Dover NH office and her daughter spent their Community Service day volunteering for the Dover NH chapter of End68hoursofhunger. This is a private, not-for-profit organization that collects, packs and then distributes nourishing food which is then given to participating elementary school children to carry them through the weekend. Their effort is an attempt to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday. If you would like to volunteer or would like more information on this charity please visit their website. http://end68hoursofhunger.org/
