Larry Hazen

Agency Trainer

Larry, like many, started his insurance career in 1979 with his family-owned agency in Woodstock VT. He was the third generation and worked with his father for over 15 years and sadly lost his partner and mentor in an automobile accident in May 1993. In 1982 Larry helped start the VT AMS Users Group, and later moved to serve 38 years with New England AMS Users Group (now NetVU New England). In 1995 the agency merged with Allied American Insurance (now Eastern Insurance – Natick). Larry managed 2 VT offices, his position was Manager of Administrative Services working with Management, Department Managers and staff to create workflows and documentation for 18 offices. 2003 he and his wife Jackie moved to Sarasota FL where he became an AMS360 Certified Contract Trainer. Larry was mostly utilized for moving agencies from AfW to AMS360. In 2009 AMS decided to non-renew all contract trainer agreements however he continued as an independent contractor and formed his own business Hazen Enterprises to work with agencies around the country. Larry’s specialties are system utilization (Account Representative to Management), Security Group setup, AMS360 setup, as well as workflows and operational procedures.
